We have provided quality building materials to many projects across north Mississippi. Below are a few examples that demonstrate our capabilities to meet a wide range of requirements – large volume, highly specified, decorative, special requirements, and everything in between.

SPECIALTY ORTHOPEDIC GROUP

B & B Concrete supplied ready mixed concrete for a new, state-of-the-art orthopedic clinic and surgery center in Tupelo, MS constructed by general contractor JESCO, Inc. The project involved numerous custom mix designs including mixes using specialty moisture mitigating admixtures for foundation and pool applications, as well as structural macro-fiber for mixes used in the construction of an all-concrete parking lot.

BAPTIST MEMORIAL HOSPITAL - NORTH MISSISSIPPI

B & B Concrete was the single ready mixed supplier to contractor Robins & Morton for newly built Baptist Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford, MS. B & B supplied 21 custom mix designs per the project specifications, including auger piling, high early strength, lightweight concrete, and mixes up to 7,000 PSI. In total, B & B supplied more than 40,000 cubic yards of concrete to the project over 10 months from our fixed plant location in Oxford while maintaining service to many ongoing projects throughout Oxford and Lafayette County.

RESIDENCE

B & B is proud to supply concrete to many residential contractor customers on projects throughout north Mississippi. Our Tupelo division supplied material for foundations, patios, block-fill and a beautiful exposed limestone driveway at this custom home. From our Contractor Supply Store in Tupelo, we are able to supply integral color, stains, surface retarders and sealers required for a variety of decorative concrete projects.

MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 9

To meet the 18-month construction schedule for a new 12 mile stretch of four-lane highway 9, contractor Eutaw Construction turned to B & B Concrete to supply thousands of linear feet of concrete pipe for storm drainage and over 10,000 cubic yards of ready mixed concrete for bridges, box culverts, curbs and islands. The project was completed ahead of schedule in 13 months in preparation for the location of a new Toyota manufacturing plant in north Mississippi.

ASHLEY FURNITURE

Since 1994, Ashley Furniture has been a major economic engine in north Mississippi, employing 4,000 from several manufacturing locations including its facility in Ecru, MS. At 2.4 million square feet, the Ecru plant is the largest upholstered furniture manufacturing facility in the world. B & B Concrete has supplied ready mixed concrete for manufacturing buildings, warehouses, lumber storage, offices, access roads, and parking across all 14 expansion phases of the facility.

HWY 7 TALLAHATCHIE RIVER BRIDGE

B & B Concrete supplied approximately 12,000 cubic yards of ready mixed concrete to L & A Contracting for a large bridge spanning part of the Tallahatchie River along MS Highway 7. To meet the stringent MDOT temperature specifications, much of the concrete was placed at night. The project required close communication with multiple contractors and sub-contractors working both day and night shifts to coordinate trucks, drivers, materials, quality control requirements and plant staff.

MISSION FOREST PRODUCTS

B & B Concrete supplied over 35,000 cubic yards of concrete for a new $160 million saw mill project in Alcorn County, Mississippi from our fixed plant location in Corinth, MS. B & B supplied mixes for various applications including walls, foundations, exterior paving with fiber, interior slabs, elevated slabs, slip formed silos, and more. We worked closely with the general contractor, project engineer, and numerous sub contractors to consistently meet delivery schedules.

ELVIS PRESLEY BIRTHPLACE AND MUSEUM

The Elvis Presley Birthplace and Museum located in Tupelo, Mississippi is the most visited tourist attraction in the state of Mississippi. B & B Concrete has been honored to supply concrete for many additions to this property, including decorative concrete using integral color, stamped concrete, and stained concrete. We are capable of providing custom colors on demand and our contractor supply store can provide expert guidance on decorative concrete best practices, as well as recommendations for respected local decorative concrete contractors.
